Routh Rd Reg. Number: 1967-09-001018 Alf was born June 30, 1885 in Southwold Township. Alfred was married January, 1918 to Christine Elizabeth Anderson. Christine was born May 14, 1898 in Liverpool, England. She emigrated with her parents in 1914, as a teenager and settled in Southwold Township. Alf stayed on the farm after his father died in 1901, and helped his mother Mary. The 1921 Census shows Alfred 34, Catherine (Christine)24, daughter Mary 2, daughter Grace 6 months and domestic Alma Anderson 19, Alma was Christine's sister who came to Canada from England, only in 1919. After mother Mary died in 1930, and the estate was settled, Alf and Christine moved to a farm near Embro, Oxford County. After a short stay there, they and their young family moved to Peace River District, Alberta. After their children were grown and on their own, Alf and Christine moved back to Belmont, Ontario. While in Belmont, their daughter Alma and her two sons lived with them. Finally Alf went back west, to Victoria B.C.. Christine died May 22, 1960 and was cremated. Find A Grave 205983879.
