• Her obituary was published. COTTYN, Grace Born in Ontario November 21, 1920 - passed peacefully in Victoria November 11, 2013. Grace was predeceased by her husband Andre (Andy) Cottyn, her sister Mary Elizabeth Golder and both brothers Charles (Charlie) and Spencer (Penny) Beecroft. She is survived by her sons Ralph (June) Phillips and Ross (Christine) Phillips, 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She also leaves many family and step family whom she loved as her own and many many friends. Grace is a member of the Auto Racing Hall of Fame at Western Speedway and her many friends there were like and extended family. Grace will be remembered for her happy nature and free spirit and will be missed greatly. A service and celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM at Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Avenue, Colwood, (250)-478-3821 on Saturday Nov. 23, 2013. Refreshments will be served. A private interment has taken place at Hatley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
