Willis William Buris, 95, died Friday 2:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter Mrs. Lee Oden, Bartholows, after an immediate illness of one week.

Surviving besides his daughter are these children by a former marriage: Mrs. Mamie E. Duvall, Mt. Airy and Charles C. Burris, Frederick; also a number of grand-children and great-grandchildren; a nephew Lester Beecraft, Bartholows, whom he raised.

The body was removed at noon today to Mrs. Oden's home in Bartholows, where friends may call. The body will be taken to Bartholows Methodist church at 1 p.m. Sunday to lie in state until 2 o'clock when funeral services will be conducted there by Rev. J. C. Buchanan, of Ridgeville. Interment will be in marvin Chapel Cemetery. Plane No. 4 W. E. Falconer, funeral director.

Mrs. Mary Catherine Phelps, wife of Winfield Phelps, died at her home, 166 Baltimore and Ohio avenue, Wednesday evening at 6:45 o'clock of paralysis aged 74 years, one month and 29 days. Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: John Scott, Grayson W. and Harry T. Phelps, all of this city, also two sons and one daughter by a former marriage, William E. Burriss, near Lime Kiln; Charles C. Burriss, this city, and Mrs. Mamie E. Duvall, Mt. Airy. Three brothers and one sister also survive: Charles A Becraft, Washington; George C. Becraft, Norfolk, VA; Benjamin F. Becraft, Montgomery county and Mrs. C. E. Wilson, who resided with the deceased; also 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
