• His obituary was published in The News (Frederick, MD) on 13 Feb 1962. Charles Christopher Burriss, 165 B&O avenue, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Sunday at 6 p.m., aged 77 years.
He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burriss and had been employed several years ago by the Frederick county Products, Inc.
Surviving are four children, Winfield Burriss, Middletown; Harry Burriss, Baltimore; Mrs. Franklin Fox, this county; Mrs. Carl Smith, Tuscarora; one stepson Charles Robb, Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Duvall, Damascus and Mrs. Louise Oden, New Market. Twenty six grandchildren also survive.
The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
