Wesley Huff, pastor of the Wytheville Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Robert Smith, pastor of St. Paul Methodist Church, and the Rev. Wallace Fowler, a retired Methodist minister, who recently served as interim pastor of the local Baptist Church. The interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Events

Mr. BeCraft had been in declining health for the past several years. He died yesterday afternoon in the Wythe County Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past few days.
He was a native of Wytheville, and had acquired a large host of friends. He attended Wytheville High School and was active in sports in his high school days, being one of the brightest stars of the school baseball team. A skilled carpenter, he was forced to retire some years past due to ill health.
The deceased had been a life time member of the Wytheville Baptist Church, and had been active in the Sunday School as long as health permitted his attendance.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Phillippi BeCraft, Wytheville; two sons, Rudolph Becraft and Jack BeCraft, both of Wytheville; a sister, Mrs. H. Neal (Maude) Wilkinson (she is a patient at this time in the Wythe County Community Hospital). Also surviving is one grandson, Bruce BeCraft and one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at the Grubb Funeral Home tonight between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 P.M.
