WILLIAM "BILL" J. BEECROFT, age 58, of Worthington, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at the Avera-McKennan Hospital, in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born November 13, 1947, in Belgrade, to Jerome and Rhoda (King) Beecroft. Bill graduated from New London High School. He later attended Pipestone Technical College. Bill served his country in the United States Army stationed in Germany from January of 1967 to December of 1968. Bill married Mona Miller on November 20, 1972. The couple later divorced. He married Rita Tolsma on February 26, 2005. After their marriage, the couple lived in Worthington. Bill worked as a meat cutter at a packing plant. In 1985, he began working for the State of Minnesota as a Mental Health Program Assistant. He worked at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center; and South Winds ACT before retiring on September 6, 2005. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church, in Worthington; the New London-Spicer American Legion; Ducks Unlimited; the Spicer Alcoholics Anonymous, where he sponsored several individuals; and ASCME Local #701, which he served as a board member for several years. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting & processing deer for many years. He had a strong faith in God. Bill is survived by his wife, Rita Beecroft, Worthington; two daughters, Nadiah Beecroft, and her special friend, Ken Korbel, Willmar; and Amanda Beecroft, St. Cloud; three step children, Brendan Nagel, Muscatine, IA; Adam Nagel, St. Cloud; and Danielle Tolsma, Worthington; brother, Wayne (Barb) Beecroft, New London; five sisters, Joann (George) Ryks, Pennock; Lela (Wally) Carlson, Sunburg; Darlene Nielsen, St. Paul; Elaine (Jim) Cyscon, Mesa, AZ; and Susan Beecroft, Willmar; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul and Tony Beecroft; and an infant sister. Blessed Be His Memory.
