General Notes: Wife - Rebecca Beecroft

Rebecca Beecroft was born March 23, 1840, in the Village of London, Ontario. After John and Eliza married, they lived near the forks of the Thames River when London was a muddy village. John at that time was most likely a labourer. Little Rebecca died as an infant before her second birthday, on January 3, 1842 and by one account was buried in the yard. Old Bible records indicate however that she was buried in Old West London Cemetery, presumed now to be part of Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
