• Her obituary was published in the Times Republican on 6 Jan 1999. Ordie Beecroft, 87, of Wellsburg, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Christ Covenant Church with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery, both in Wellsburg.

She was born on April 29, 1911, in Wellsburg to Thomas and Sophia (Freerksen) Beecroft. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1928. She taught Sunday School. She was a lifetime member of the Christ Covenant Church.

Survivors include a sister, Doris Aikin of Modesto, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Junice Grotte, Margaret Johnson and Mary Beecroft, and two brothers Clarence and Theodore.
