• His obituary was published in the Buffalo Courier-Express on 3 Mar 1949. Frederick J. Allison, 57, purchasing agent for C. Brenner & Sons Co., 540 Genesee St., hardware and plumbing supplies, died Tuesday at his home, 241 Wellington Rd., after a two-month illness.

A memorial service will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at Forest Lawn Chapel. the Rev. David S. MacInnes of Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Mr. Allison was born September 26, 1891, at Utica, the son of George and Ella MacDougal Allison. After completing his education in Utica, he became an accountant with the Library Bureau at Ilion in 1919. He became office manager of the Oneidacraft Furniture Co. in Oneida in 1926.

Mr. Allison later was general manager of the A.N. Russell & Son Co. of Ilion. In 1936 he went with Remington Rand at Elmira as purchasing agent and was transferred to Buffalo in 1942. He resigned in 1946 when the Remington Rand offices were moved to New York City. Shortly thereafter he became purchasing agent for the Brenner company.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Becraft; three daughters, Mrs. Frederick J. Dearstyne of Albany, Ms. Leroy R. Millett of Newton, Ia., and Mrs. Walter J. Fleming, Jr. of Williamsville, and two sons, George F., of Asheville, N.C. and Peter B.
