George Hibert Mast, 83, of Homedale, ID passed away in his home on October 2, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1933 in Encinitas, CA to George Bryan and Minerva Mast. He was the sixth of eight children. In September of 1957, he met Joyce Beecroft on a blind date and they were married in December of that same year. They celebrated their Fifty Ninth anniversary in December last year. They had six children. He moved his small family up to Oregon and was employed in the lumber industry for many years. After the kids were grown and out of the house he and his bride followed his lifelong dream and moved to Alaska. While there he was privileged to work for the church he loved, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After retirement he move to Homedale, ID and he enjoyed working at Sam's Club as a food demonstrator. He loved children and would hand out Dum-Dum suckers and was known as the Dum-Dum man.
George is survived by his wife Joyce; his children: Anna (Ken) Vorisek, Nancy (Tim) Thieding, Cindy Mast, Patty (Bob) Kilborn and Neil (Kirsten) Mast; and one sister Myrtle Oakley of Tennessee. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; one sister; his daughter Shari; sons-in-laws Randy and Michael; and two grandsons, Travis and Dustin.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Homedale LDS Chapel, 708 W. Idaho Ave., Homedale. The family will receive friends from 10 \endash 10:45 before the service at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Homedale. Interment will follow at Marsing Homedale Cemetery in Marsing, Idaho.
Joyce Ruthmarie (Beecroft) Mast, 83, passed away on January 30, 2021 in Caldwell Idaho at Lenity Assisted Living Facility. She was born in on May 28, 1937 to Charles (Cotton) and Ruth Beecroft. She married George Hibert Mast December 28th, 1957 for almost 60 years and they raised 6 children. She enjoyed cake decorating, painting and many other crafts throughout her life. She also loved having a dog or cat with her at all times and even took one with her into her assisted living facility. She and George lived in Sutherlin, Oregon most of the years that their family was growing up and then moved to Fairbanks, Alaska when their children left home. In their later years they moved to Homedale, Idaho to be near their young grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Bo and Donald, her husband, George Hibert and a daughter, Cherly Lynn (Shari), and two grandsons, Travis Burnett and Dustin Norris.
She is survived by a brother (James Beecroft) and a sister (Judy Paige) and 5 of her children, Anna Vorisek (Ken), Nancy Thieding (Timothy), Cindy Mast, Patty Kilborn (Bob) and Neil Mast (Kirsten), 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be held on February 6, 2021 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building in Homedale, Idaho.
