Herman Ah Yee Sr., 78, of Naalehu died March 25, 2015, at his residence. Born Oct. 21, 1936, in Kamaoa-Ka'u, he was a cowboy at Kaalualu Ranch, a boiler technician for Ka'u Agribusiness Sugar Co. and member of the Naalehu Senior Club.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 11 at the Naalehu Assembly of God Church for a 9:30 a.m. service. Burial follows at the Naalehu County Cemetery. Family requests casual attire worn. Flowers are welcome. Family and friends may call 929-8410 or 929-9028.
He is survived by son, Herman (Louann) Ah Yee Jr., of Naalehu; daughters, Joy (Stanley Williams) Ah Yee and Dawnalynn (Henry) Waiwaiole Jr., both of Naalehu, Velma Becraft of Waihee, Maui, Naomi (Lawrence) Smith Jr., of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brothers, Raphael (Virginia) Ah Yee of Mililani, Oahu, Francis (Mardel) Ah Yee of Walnut Creek, Calif., Paul Ah Yee of Waiohinu, Sylvester (Martha) Ah Yee of Keaukaha; sister, Elena Paulo of Hilo; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
