Sandra Kay Adams, 62, Kokomo, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Kokomo Health Care. She was born Aug. 9, 1955, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Scott and Betty (Alexander) Becraft. On Oct. 6, 1978, she married Michael E. Adams, who survives. Sandy was a 1974 graduate of Western High School and attended Indiana University. She worked as an in-home health care CNA for over 20 years. Sandy was a member of Galilean Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed her children and great-grandchildren. Sandy was a collector of Indian artifacts and looked forward to camping and cooking outdoors. Sandy is survived by her husband, Michael Adams, Kokomo; daughter, Stephanie (Ronald) Lanning, Kokomo; stepson, Michael Adams, Kokomo; grandchildren, Athena Harding, Jaiden Lanning, Ashton Adams, Kaela Adams, Michael Adams, and Calvin Adams; siblings, Bruce Becraft, Fred Becraft, and Allen Becraft, all of Kokomo; half siblings, Kimberly Bess, Betty Cunningham, Kokomo, and Dawn Duke, Indianapolis, along with other extended family. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tularé Adams; half brother, George Bess Jr.; and adopted son, Travis Carver. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Galilean Missionary Baptist Church, 507 N. Union St., Kokomo, with Pastor Justin Wagner officiating.
