Late John Beecroft came to Windsor Twenty Years Ago
Following a lengthy illness, John Beecroft, 52 years old returned soldier, of 320 Tecumseh road west, died yesterday at Metropolitan General Hospital.
Born in London Ont., Mr. Beecroft made his home in Windsor 20 years ago. He was an art glass worker employed by the Hobbs Manufacturering Company until the time of his illness. He was a member of St. Mark's Anglican Church. Mr. Beecroft enlisted in the 43rd Battalion, served in France, and was discharged in 1918, following the Armistice.
He is survived by two sons, Edward and Carl, at home; a daughter, Ella also at home, and a brother William, city.
Funeral services will be held from the Morris Funeral Home, Monday, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. J. A. Blackwell officiating. Interment will be in Windsor Grove Cemetery.
