A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004,
in Willamette National Cemetery for Albert A. "Bud"
Beecroft Jr., who died June 26 at age 85. Mr. Beecroft
was born June 9, 1919, in Mamaroneck, N.Y. During
World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps in
Iceland. After the war, he continued in the Army for a
total of 22 years. He moved in 1957 to Portland, where
he was a recruiter for the Army and then a delivery
man for Jantzen Inc. for 13 years. He moved to Eagle
Point in 2002. In 1942, he married Eleanore Curran;
she died in 1968. He married Joan Schmorl in 1973; she
died in 1993.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary E. St. Arnold,
Margaret A. Dreiling and Veronica Beecroft; stepson,
Bob Schmorl; stepdaughter, Kathy Howard; eight
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Albert Arthur "Bud" Beecroft Jr., died June 26, 2004 in White City, Ore. He was 85.
He served during World War II at Reykjavik, Iceland, Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, Schofield Barracks in Hawaii and Two Rock Ranch Station. From 1957 to 1962 he was an Army recruiter in Portland.
After retiring from the military, he worked for 13 years at Jantzen.
He is survived by daughters Mary St. Arnold of White City, Ore., Margaret Dreiling of Central Point, Ore., and Veronica Beecroft of Okemos, Mich., stepchildren Bob Schmorl of Portland and Kathy Howard of Vancouver, Wash., eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
