General Notes: Husband - William H. C. Becraft

Recent ad from fellow member notes a brief obit from the Baltimore Sun on Sun May 29, 1841 for a William H.C. Becraft which may match this terribly worn marker...at Georgetown Friday the 20th inst., at the residence of his father, after an illness of about 6 weeks, which he bore with Christian fortitude, William H.C. Becraft in the 25th year of his age......I am also leaving my original comments from some time past as further info which may help in the future..........Looks to possibly be Wm.Becraft aged 24 years. There is a marriage certificate in Anne Arundel Co for a Wm H.C. Becraft in 1837 to an Elizabeth Price .......Do not have this grouping together yet, but names of African American/ Mulatto listings from 1830's - 1870's include family names of Becraft, William, Sarah, Caroline J., Sarah [Becraft] Boudoin/Boudin, William Boudoin b 1857, T.E. Boudoin There appears to be 6 - 8 family markers about half are missing. There was a note of a Sarah & William directory from 1863 spouse listing but William is missing from the 1860 Census. There may have been a number of children of a Wm & Sarah including a child Wm. Sarah & possibly Joseph B.? which appear to be there, along with other markers with difficult to read initials of the family.
