William went west as a young man and for a while he and brother Frederick operated a laundry. After seventeen years he returned and lived with his sister Annie. The 1886 Middlesex County Directory lists him living at Lot 9 Christina, Caradoc Township. He farmed until his death Nov. 23, 1920 (tombstone 1922). William never married nor had children.
