Mr. Roland Stanley Becraft, Sr., 71, of Mt. Airy, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gloria Mary Becraft.Born February 23, 1941 in Howard County, he was the son of the late Raymond James and Sylvia Pauline Poole Becraft.Mr. Becraft was a mechanic and owned a gas station in Lisbon for 16 years prior to his retirement.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Roland Stanley Becraft, Jr. and Raymond Joseph Becraft; his brother, Raymond James Becraft; and his sister, Sylvia LaRue Becraft.He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Arnold Guy Becraft; and two sisters, Ruby Marie Becraft and Winifred Irene Becraft.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy. A service of remembrance for Mr. Becraft will begin at noon from the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at staufferfuneralhome.com.

• Her obituary was published. Gloria (Sue) Mary Becraft, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10th surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Roland Stanley Becraft Sr., her loving husband of over 52 years.
Born on August 21st, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Macy Irene Marsh and Carlin Paul Kilby.
Gloria was a hard-working woman who had an appreciation for the little things in life. In her youth, she enjoyed drag racing and was an unbelievable swimmer. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother.
Surviving her are her sons Roland and Raymond Becraft, her Grandchildren Tyler, Abigail, and Jessica Becraft, Her brothers William, Ernest, and Kenneth Kilby, and her sister Faye Ward.
A celebration of life will be held on April 28th at Jennings Chapel United Methodist Church, in Woodbine, MD. Services will begin at 11:00am.
