"Mr. B" as he was fondly known by his family and friends, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 30, 2018 with his loving wife and sweetheart Sandra by his side.
"Mr.B" placed God first in his life living the Mathew 6:33 principle of seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This was evident in his devotion and unselfish love for his family, friends, church and his passion for reaching the lost.
"Mr. B" was a graduate of George Wythe High School and William and Mary College where he served as a drum major at both institutions. He was also an avid fan of his son's alma mater Virginia Tech Hokies.
He faithfully served the state of Virginia at Virginia Employment Commission for 36 years and as a teacher and tax preparer for H&R Block for 30+ years.
He also lived a life of service to others as a dedicated charter member and elder of Botetourt Community Church and through reaching the lost in the Gideon jail ministry. He spent many summers voluntarily mowing grass for friends, Botetourt Community Church, ICCD, and the Community Arboretum at Virginia Western Community College.
