Mildred was born in Skagit County Washington to her parents Ted and Anna Kosch Paulsen in 1915. Her parents and family including her two brothers Gilbert Paulsen (1910-1983) and Vernon Paulsen (1911-1968) had moved from Howard County Nebraska in 1913. In 1934 at the age of 19 she married Raymond Henry Becraft (1915-1995)in Sedro-Woolley Washington. The couple had one child--Darla Ray Becraft who was born on July 6, 1937. Darla was about 18 months old when her Mother Mildred died in December,1938.
