General Notes: Husband - Theodore "Ted" Paulsen

Theodore Paulsen was born and raised in Howard County Nebraska between Dannebrog and Boelus. In about 1909 he married Anna Kosch also of Boelus, Howard County , Nebraska. The couple had three children Gilbert Paulsen and Vernon Paulsen born in Howard County in 1910 to 1911 timeframe. In about 1913 Ted and Anna Paulsen along with Anna's parents (Vincent and Mary Anna Kosch) and Anna's three sisters moved to the Bellingham Washington area. Ted and Anna's third child Mildred Kosch was born in Washington about 1915.

Ted was believed to have died in 1970 in Mendocino County California. He is buried in Sedro-Woolley Washington with his wife Anna.


General Notes: Wife - Anna Kosch

Anna Kosch was born in Boelus Nebraska to Vincent Kosch (1863-1922) and Mary Anna Neisner Kosch (1863-1952) in 1890. She married Theodore (Ted) Paulsen (1885-1970) on March 17,1909 in St. Paul, Nebraska. In 1913 Anna and Ted and their young family along with Anna's Mother and Father and 3 sisters moved to Washington in the Bellingham area. The three sisters were Edith M Kosch Carlson (1896-1993), Josephine Kosch McLaughlin (1892-1985) and Virginia Kosch Laxdal (1903-1928).Her brother George H Kosch (1885-1959) remained in Nebraska Howard County. Another brother Vincent (1886-1900) died in a Nebraska hunting accident. Anna and Ted had three children Gilbert Paulsen (1910-1983), Vernon Paulsen(1911- 1968) and Mildred Paulsen Becraft (1915-1938). Gilbert and Vernon were born in Howard County Nebraska and Mildred in Washington.In a second marriage Anna married Frank Stickney (1884-1944) in 1939. Anna died in Mount Vernon Washington on November 27, 1957. Anna is buried in Sedro Woolley Union Cemetery in a lot near Ted.------ Skagit Valley Herald 28 November 1957Sedro-Woolley Final rites for Mrs. Anna Stickney, a Route 3, Sedro-Woolley resident for 10 years, who died Wednesday, will be held at 2pm Monday at Lemley Mortuary.Rev. Richard Rentfro, Pastor of the Sedro-Woolley Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sedro-Woolley Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Vernon Paulson, Burlington and Gilbert Paulson, Mantika, California, two sisters Josephine McLaughlin, Sedro Woolley and Edith Carlson, Bellingham, a brother George Kosch Nebraska and three grandchildren.
