A 3-year-old Mount Sterling boy died yesterday when smoke from a fire filled his bedroom, authorities said. Jason Dean Becraft, son of Lula Barker Becraft and Jerry Becraft, died in his one-story home at 125 Estill Street, state police and Montgomery County Coroner Conrad Herald said. Dr. John Hunsaker, assistant state medical examiner, said a preliminary autopsy showed that Jason died of smoke inhalation. The fire started accidentally in the living room, state police said.
