NEW HARTFORD -- Mildred M. Becraft, 76, of 85 Genesee St., N.H. died Monday December 28, 1981 at Faxton Hospital after a one month illness.
She was born November 10, 1905, in Sloan, N. Y., daughter of Franklin and Mary Milsom Smith and received her education in the Buffalo School System. She was married to Herbert Wegelin Sr. in Buffalo. Mr. Wegelin died in 1964. Later she was married to Clifford Becraft in Itica in 1970. Mr. Becraft died in 1981.
Mrs. Becraft had been formerly employed as a Nursse at the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo and retired in 1969. She has been a resident of this area since 1970 and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Becraft was a member of the Senior Citizens Center at Kenmore, N. Y.
Mrs. Becraft is survived by one son, Herbert Wegelin Jr. of Buffalo, 2 step daughters, Mrs. Walter (Nancy) WHite of Rome, Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) D'Agostino of New Hartford; 2 stepsons, C. Gary Becraft of Central Square, N.Y., and Major Peter Michael Becraft of Burke, Va.; 8 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. A daughter Mrs. Keith (Margy Lou) Sisson of Clinton predeceased her mother in 1979.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10:30 from the Surridge & Jocobson Memorial Home Inc., 2212 Genesee St. with the Rev. Dr. C. Glenn Mingledorff officiating. Friends respectfully invited. Internment Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland, N.Y. Calling hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9.
