Charles W. Becraft, a former resident of Augusta, died in the Calhoun County Infirmary near Marshall, Monday afternoon, at the age of 61 years.
Mr. Becraft, a single man, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Becraft, who a few years ago were residents of Ross township and Augusta village.
Mr. Becraft had been a resident of Battle Creek several years where he was employed as a painter and interior decorator, until his health failed four or five years ago. He was a patient in the Calhoun County Public hospital about three years before going to the infirmary, at which place he had been a patient over a year.
Mr. Becraft was born in Augusta, August 31, 1876. He leaves no relatives nearer than cousins. The funeral services were held in Battle Creek yesterday and burial was made in the Augusta cemetery.
