• Her obituary was published. Ms. Muriel A. (Freeman) Becraft, 71, of South Mountain, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born December 9, 1944, in South Mountain, she was the daughter of the late John W. Freeman, Sr. and Nellie M. (Kauffman) Freeman
Ms. Becraft retired after 38 years at South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain. After her retirement she worked for seven more years at Michaux Manor also in South Mountain.
She enjoyed going to flea markets and antique shops. Ms. Becraft loved her family, flowers, and animals; especially her "grand-dog", Jasper. She had a kind heart and a giving soul. Her and her mother had a very close bond and she faithfully went to spend time with her in the nursing home every day until her passing in March 2016.
Ms. Becraft is survived by one son; Terry L. Becraft of Mont Alto, PA, two sisters; Vera K. Tarman of South Mountain and Luann Uglow of Chambersburg, PA, one brother; Larry D. Freeman also of South Mountain, and numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister Darlene L. Witusik and two brothers; Robert L. Freeman and John W. Freeman, Jr.
Everyone is welcome to join the family for graveside services which will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain, PA, with Pastor Patrick Clady officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, is handling the arrangements.
