Events

• Her obituary was published in the Joplin Globe on 27 Aug 1936. Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Parsons, 71 years old, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ione Carnes of Goodman, were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the home of a son, Earl Blanchard of Anderson. Burial was in the Tracy Cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Carnes and Mrs. Laurel McQuality of Goodman.; two sons, Earl Blanchard of Anderson and Monte Parsons of Goodman; four step-children, Mrs Lon Sellers of Anderson, Mrs. William Truxwell of Kansas City, Mrs. Oscar Parsons of Pineville and Mell Parsons of Tulsa; five brothers, Al Wylie of Noel, Charley Wylie of Humboldt, Kansas, Robert Wylie of Pineville, Dr. Tom Wylie of Boise, Ida., and John Wylie of California; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
