Mayflower Barron, age 80, of Jefferson, WI, formerly of Montello, WI, died on Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at Countryside Nursing Home in Jefferson. She was born on May 22, 1918 in Montello, the daughter of George and Ida (Labrenz) Becraft. She mar*ried Frederick Street on December 19, 1934 in Montello, and he pre*ceded her in death in January of 1955. She married William H. Barron on May 19, 1956, also in Montello, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1987. She resided in Montello until 1987, when she moved to Jefferson. She was an avid gardener.
She is survived by six sons, Edwin (Lisa) Street, Montello, Richard (Audrey) Street, Tucson, AZ, David (Judy) Street, Green Lake, Raymond (Linda) Street, Westfield, Clifford Street, Eau Claire, and Tex (Dorothy) Street, Jefferson; eight daughters, Roselette Mills, California, Rosezella Grenda, Milwaukee, Beulah Warner, Owensville, MO, Ruth (Michael) Volk, Reedsburg, Regina (fiancé Gary Jump) Hodgkins, Necedah, Beverly (Reo) Duchardt, Grand Marsh, Sylvia Powell, St. Joseph, MO, and Charlotte (friend Michael Warras) Barron, Jefferson; 48 grandchil*dren; numerous great-grandchil*dren; nine stepchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence Becraft, Sun Prairie, Johnny Becraft, Montello, and Howard Becraft, Pardeeville; three sisters, Eleanor Krivanek, Montello, Alice McTier, Endeavor, and Florence, Madison; nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and other relatives. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, four broth*ers, Ernest, George, Floyd and Chester, and four sisters, Emma, Clara, Verna and Lena.
Funeral services were held at the Steinhaus Funeral Home in Montello on Saturday, January 2. The Rev. Ralph Hankermeyer offi*ciated. Burial was in the Montello City Cemetery.
