• Event: Howard L. Edmondson, aged 24 years, Walter G. Barnes, Sr., aged 41 years and James L. Boone, aged 37, residents of the vicinity of Louisville, this County, are dead as a result of an auto accident in Finksburg, Sunday morning about 9:30 o'clock. Edmondson was instantly killed, Barnes died a short time afterward and Boone died in the University Hospital, Baltimore, late Sunday night as a result of a fractured skull. There were six occupants in the sedan. Raymond Harrison, aged about
80 years of Washington, D. C, Donald Boone, aged four years, nephew of the driver; and Walter G. Barnes, Jr., aged 19, were uninjured. According to Coroner Sherman E. Flanagan, the
uninjured persons said that the accelerator had dropped to the floor and Edmondson attempted to pull it up when he lost control of the car. They had been to Falls Inn, near Reisterstown and they were on their way home.
C. C. Morfoot, who conducts a gasoline station in Finksburg, was an eye witness of the accident. He stated that the car was traveling at a rapid rate of speed and was evidently out
of control, and that the car turned over twice and landed on its wheels.
Five of the occupants of the car were thrown from the car as it turned over, he said, and Edmondson was on the point of being thrown out through the top on the second turn when the car
fell on him. Boone and Barnes were thrown about 40 to 60 feet from the car and landed together. The car was a total wreck.

Edmondson and Boone were employed in the Federal Housing department in Washington, D. C. Edmondson was a janitor in the building and lived at 931 M street, N. W., Washington.
With Harrison they were spending the week-end with Edmondson's parents in Louisville. Barnes was employed as a contractor.

Mr. Barnes was the son of Bennie and Minnie Gamber Barnes He was a veteran of the World War, having served in the 33rd U. S. Field Artillery. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mabel E. Barnes, several children and a brother, Roy Barnes, Gamber. The services were held Tuesday at 8:30 A. M., from his late residence with further services at 10 A. M., in Providence
church. The Rev. Charles F. Cummins, pastor, conducted both services, with the interment of both in the adjoining cemetery.
