• His obituary was published in the Waynesboro Record Herald on 20 Dec 1954. Fred Wagaman, Sr., 67, died at 5 o'clock this morning at his home at South Mountain. He had been in failing health for the last two years and Saturday, December 11, suffered a stroke. He had been critically ill and confined to his bed since that time. He was born at South Mountain, the son of Peter and Bessie Carbaugh Wagaman and lived his entire life there. He was employed as a sawmill operator in his early life and for seven years was employed at Frick Company. For the last 12 years he was employed by Landis Machine Company as an inspector until his health failed. Surviving are his wife, Minnie M. Kauffman Wagaman; seven sons and seven daughters, Vernis, Ellis, Mrs. Thomas Becraft, Mrs. Alfred Baker, Mrs. Charles Baker, and Mrs. Stanley Gates, all of South Mountain; Mrs. John Binkley and Ray Wagaman, both of Waynesboro, Robert Wagaman, Mont Alto; Mrs. Franklin Addlesberger, York; Fred J. Wagaman of "Albuquerque, M. Mex.; Mrs. Richard Berklite and Edward Wagaman, both of Germany; Richard Wagaman, at home; 25 grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers and two sisters, Ephriam Wagaman of Charles Towm, W. Va.; James Wagaman of Quincy; Benjamin Wagaman, Mont Alto; Arthur Wagaman of Orrtanna; Mrs. John Bailey, Waynesboro; Mrs. Minnard Monn of Harrisburg. Interment will be made in Strang's Cemetery.

• Her obituary was published in The Record Herald on 19 Aug 1986. Minnie M. Wagaman, 90, of 11913 Loop Road, Fayetteville, widow of Fred E. Wagaman, died at 12:10 a.m. today, August 19, 1986, in the Leader Nursing and Rehab Center, Chambersburg.

Born Dec. 6, 1895 in South Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Nettie Cauffman Kauffman.

All her life was lived in the South Mountain area.

Her husband died in December, 1954.

She is survived by 11 children,
Mrs. Ruth Binkley, Mrs. Betty Becraft and Mrs. Donna Gates, all of Waynesboro;
Ellis Wagaman, Ray Wagaman, Mrs. Edith Baker, Edward Wagaman, Mrs. Ada Baker and Richard Wagaman, all of Fayetteville;
Mrs. Hazel Addlesberger, York; and Mrs. Myrtle Berklite, Columbus, Ga.;
43 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren;
and one sister, Mrs. Lincoln Carbaugh, South Mountain.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thrsday in the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain, Pa.
