• Her obituary was published in the Washington Post on 1 Nov 1927. Acute indigestion caused the death at her home near Clagettsville of Mrs. Fannie H. Watkins, wife of William E. Watkins, aged 66 years. She was stricken while partaking of supper at a church festival in the hall at Clagettsville and died several hours later. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Morgan H. Watkins, Mrs. Jesse Becraft and Mrs. Ernest Duvall, of Clagettsville, and Mrs. Clifton Stanley, of Damascus.
