Visitation will be held 11-12 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Mt. Sterling. Pallbearers will be Walter Ballard, David Lawson, Ernie Tackett, Dylan Lawson, Carl McGuire and Rodney Thompson.

Clyde "Jim" Banks, age 65, of Frenchburg, KY, passed away Friday, May 25, 2001, at St. Clair Medical Center. Born June 18, 1935, in Breathitt County, KY, he was the son of the late Harrison and Minta Clemons Banks, He was a member of the Frenchburg Church of God. He was a retired Hobart/Whilpool employee.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Opal Shrout Banks of Frenchburg, KY;
one son, Clyde Banks, Jr., of MN;
three daughters, Barbara Jo Baldie of NM, Terry Helton of MN, and Tammy Stull of Frenchburg, KY;
four brothers, Bobby Banks of OH, Sigel Banks of Vancleve, KY, Cola Banks of Jackson, KY, and Bill Banks of IN;
two sisters, Ruby Smith of Vancleve, KY, and Carolyn Cox of Jackson, KY;
9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Sue Becraft, and
two brothers, Mose Banks and Charles Banks.
Funeral services were Monday, May 28, 2001, at 2:00 PM, at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel, Frenchburg, KY, with Rev. Roger Wells officiating. Burial followed in the Williams Cemetery. Pallbearers were Oakie Barnett, Tim Shrout, Scott Becraft, Danny Ferrell, Phillip Becraft, and Sherman Miller.
Taul Funeral Home, Frenchburg, KY, was in charge of arrangements.
