Glen Harrison COSSEL of Longmont died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at his home. He was 91.

He was born April 7, 1915, in Scotland County, Mo., to William Frank and Ethel Leta (Becraft) Cossel.

On Sept. 8, 1938, he married Veva Ione Stookesberry in LaClede, Mo.

Mr. Cossel was employed for 28 years as a machine operator at the DuPont Paint Factory in Fort Madison, Iowa.

He moved to Colorado in 1975 from Fort Madison and resided in the Jamestown area. He moved to Longmont in 1987.

Mr. Cossel was a longtime member of Santa Fe Methodist Church in Fort Madison and a current member of Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont.

He was an avid golfer who greatly enjoyed the game.

Mr. Cossel was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judith Kay; and a brother, Carl Cossel.

He is survived by his wife of Longmont; two sons, Jack Glen Cossel and his wife Gan of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Donald M. Cossel and his wife Shirley of Longmont; six grandchildren, Jacqueline Kay Murphy, Chris Dziak, Shawn Cossel, Wendy Bridges, Kristi Grimes and Mike Davis; and six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Corby, Riley, Nickolette, Mackenna and Kayden.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Sandy Stewart of Longs Peak United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Private inurnment will be held at Foothills Gardens of Memory.

Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
