John J. Burdette, well-known retired farmer, died at his home in Woodfield, Tuesday night at 9 o'clock after an illness of several months, aged 66 years. He was a son of the late Harry and Lucinda Burdette of Ridgeville. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cora King Burdette, and the following children, Mrs. Woodrow Ward, Woodfield; Mrs. Paul Braum, Baltimore; J. Norman, Russell L., Albert and Perry G. Burdette, all of Woodfield. One sister, Mrs. George Pickett, Ridgeville, and five brothers, William H., and Vernon Burdette, Sykesville; Arthur Burdette, Popular Springs; Robert E. Burdette, Long Corner, and Amos G. Burdette, near Woodfield, also survive. Funeral from Wesley Grove Methodist church, Woodfield, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment adjoining cemetery. J.B.
