• Biography: As the eldest of 10 children, Mattie was responsible to provide support for her mother and younger siblings after the death of her father. She became an incredable Chef and was able to work in some of the best Hotels and Restraunts in Oklahoma City so she could sent money home to her family. In 1903 her younger brother, Roy Livergood assumed the family responsiblities finally making it possible for her to marry. She was a very intelligent and resourseful woman who in 1929, just 6 months after her mother's death, was taken from her family by Kindney Cancer.
