Frances B. Spielman Becraft of Port Charlotte, Fla., a retired realtor and former resident of White Sulphur Springs, died Tuesday, August 28, 2001. She was 78 years of age.
The daughter of the late Earl and Eva Bivins, she was born July 20, 1923, in Liberty.
Mrs. Becraft was a charter member of the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, a charter member of the Catskill Bastardettes and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Becraft, at home; two sons, James Quinn of Connecticut and Leslie Chapman and his wife, Georgia, of Slidell, La.; two daughtes, Linda Kinne and her husband, Jack, of Brighton, Colo., and Lorraine Barrett and her husband, Harry, of Loch Sheldrake; two brothers, Earl Bivins of Liberty and Winfred Bivins of Parksville; four sisters, Eva Barry of Liberty, Charlotte Hewlitt of Monticello, Clara Ross of Livingston Manor and Eleanor Edwards of Parksville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Liberty Thursday evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
