At his residence, Nottawasaga, on the 30th ult., after a protracted illness, Mr. James Hood, at the advanced age of 83 years, firm in the hope of enjoying eternal happiness.
Deceased emigrated to Canada under the Government Grants in 1820, and became one of the Dalhousic and Lanrk settlers of that date.
