Daniel W. Bigcraft
March 3, 1923 - Dec. 27, 2011
Dan was born in San Diego, Calif. After three years the family moved to Santa Rosa, Calif. Upon graduation from high school, Dan joined the Army Air Force. After his service in the South Pacific he returned to Santa Rosa and in January 1946 he married Laura Mae Potts. They had three children: Margaret, Evelyn and Ron Warren.

Dan worked in construction; he loved operating heavy equipment. In 1971 he worked for the California State Department of Transportation. He loved El Dorado County and in 1984 upon retirement he and his wife Laura moved to Camino, Calif. After his wife's death in the year 2003 he moved to El Dorado, Calif., where he spent his remaining years enjoying this wonderful country.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Chapel of the Pines Mortuary on Thursday, Jan. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. Per Dan's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
