Mr. Marshall U. Bennet, 66, of Frederick Road, Clarksburg, died Monday, July 3, at Montgomery General Hospital.
Mr. Bennett had worked for the Maryland State Roads Department, before retirement.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Helen Day of Gaithersburg; two sisters, Margie Dillehay and Ella Hawkins both of Boyds; and Hazel and Thomas Ward of Clarksburg, with whom he lived, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the Francis H. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville. The Rev. Thomas T. Stewart officiated. Interment was in Clarksburg Cemetery.

BENNETT, of Clarksburg, Md., beloved wife of Marshall Bennett; mother of Mrs. Helen Day; sister of Geraldine Foster, Irvin, Herbert and Boyd Sonifrank, Eston and Ivan Lantz. Four grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the Francis H. Barber Funeral Home, Laytonsville, Md., where services will be held on Thursday, January 11, at 11 a.m. Interment Clarksburg Cemetery.
