Mr. Hillery E. Hawkins, 77, formerly of Boyds, died Tuesday, Aug 7, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. He was the husband of the late Ella L. Hawkins.
Born July 1, 1913, in Boyds, he was a son of the late Oscar and Maude Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins was a retired Montgomery County school bus driver.
Surviving are two sons, Paul E. Hawkins Sr. of Rockville, and James E. Hawkins of Gaithersburg; one daughter, Marie Newman of Gaithersburg; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Clarksburg Methodist Cemetery.

Surviving besides her husband are three children, Paul E. Hawkins of Rockville, James E. Hawkins and Ella Marie Newman, both of Gaithersburg; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
