• His obituary was published in the Council Bluffs Iowa Nonpareil on 25 Feb 1945 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States. W.E. Beecroft

William Edward Beecroft, 76, died Friday night at the Donald Jensen farm east of Underwood after a long illness.

Beecroft was born in Council Bluffs in 1868, but resided most of his life at Eldora, where he was custodian of a bank property. He was a 25 year I.O.O.F. lodge member.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Koupal of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Olive McLain of Independence, Mo., and a brother, Harry Beecroft of Omaha. There are several nieces and nephews.

The body was removed to the Woodring funeral home and will be forwarded to Eldora for services at the Longnecker chapel. Burial will be in the Eldora cemetery with the Odd Fellows lodge in charge.
