William C. Beecroft William, known to everyone as Bill, died at St. Peters Hospital in Olympia, WA on March 11, 2013, after a long illness. Bill was born in Roseburg, Oregon on April 9, 1940, to Chris and Venora Beecroft. His father was a supervisor at Veterans Hospital in Lakewood, WA, and his mother was an elementary school teacher in Lakewood, WA. Bill was a lumberman for most of his working life. Later in life he taught himself leatherworking, and made belts, reins, harnesses, leashes, and other leather goods. He was an avid birdwatcher and built birdhouses for family and friends. A country boy at heart, he moved to the Rochester area of Washington about 20 years ago. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and beloved Boston Terrier, Buddy. He is survived by his sister Lauradel Ross of Lacey, WA, his brother Robert Beecroft of Selah, WA, his four children, Tamara Beecroft Fornell of Lake Oswego, OR, Kristine Beecroft and Kimberly Beecroft of Seattle, WA, and Stephanie Beecroft Moore of Vashon, WA, and his four grandchildren, Griffin, Pia, Holland, and Phoenix, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the four loves of his life, Stephanie, Cherie, Kathy, and Robyn. His son, Justin Beecroft, predeceased him in 2002. Remembrances in honor of Bill can be made to the Audubon Society of Black Hills, WA.
