• His obituary was published. CHARLES NORMAN JACK FOX, 98, a longtime Bartlesville resident, died Saturday evening September 19, 1998 at the Jane Phillips Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary of the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Rumage, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Neekamp Funeral Home.
A memorial in Mr. Fox's name has been established for the IHH Health Care, 501 S.E. 5th St, Bartlesville or the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5111 S.E. Nowata Rd., Bartlesville. Those wishing to contribute may do so in care of their offices. Mr. Fox was born October 31, 1899 in Ashland Township, Clarion County, PA.
He was a son of Charles Alexander and Etta Louella Boyer Fox. He received his formal education there before moving to Kansas to work in the oil fields. He married Myrtle May Jones on December 9, 1920 in Sedan, KS. They moved to Bartlesville in 1933 where he went to work for the VanDall Brothers as a pumper in the oil fields. He continued to work for them until his retirement in October 1964. Mrs. Fox preceded him in death on January 31, 1983. He married Virginia Harrison on October 31, 1989 and they have made their home here since. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and was an avid worker in his workshop and loved the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; two sons, Norman DeWayne of Clifton, TX and Kenneth E. of Ochelata; two daughters, Imogene Coleman and Dottie Shartle, both of Bartlesville; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. His first wife, his parents, five brothers and two sisters

Virginia Elizabeth Beecroft, DeBruner, Jones, Harrison, Fox was born in Springfield, Illinois 08/02/16 to Albert Beecroft and Hazel Dell Beecroft. The youngest of two children, she moved to Bartlesville, OK with her family in 1917 where she lived until 1931 moving then to St. Louis, MO. where she met and married Paul DeBruner in Dec. of 1934.
Virginia and Paul had one daughter, Dolores Virginia DeBruner Anderson, who preceded her in death. She moved to Ripley, TN in 1963 and lived there with husband Walter Harrison until Oct. of 1985 when they moved back to Bartlesville, OK. After Walter's death, Virginia married Jack Fox of Bartlesville October 31, 1988, who preceded her in death. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church.
She is survived by son-in-law Eugene Anderson of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren; Steve Anderson of Arlington, WA., Debbie Flack, Janice Hurrle, Kenny, Mike and John Anderson and Shirley Maxwell of Indianapolis, IN, Karen Innis of Spencer, IN and Tom Anderson of Petersburg, IN. 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include stepdaughters Imogene Coleman of Bartlesville and Ila Fox of Texas, stepson Ken Fox of Bartlesville. Step-grandchildren Lanie Allton, Cindy Spears, Sherry Hardy and Kelly Fox of Bartlesville, OK, Kathy Reynolds and Jeff Fox of Texas. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter Dorothy Shartle and stepson DeWayne Fox of Texas.
