General Notes: Wife - Valoise Beecroft
I was born in St. Johns, AZ, the fourth child of Robert Chestnut Beecroft and Nancy Edna Buchanan. When I was two years old, my parents moved to Mexico. I spent most of my childhood in Mexico, living in each of the colonies, Colonia Dublin, Juarez Garcia, and Chuichupa. I graduated from Juarez Stake Academy in May 1934. Mama and Papa moved to Mesa, AZ.
After graduating from high school, I went one year to college at Gila Junior College in Thatcher, AZ.
I was married to Ferrell Brundage Lamb. We had five children. When the youngest was 3 weeks old, I got a divorce from Ferrell. I received a temple divorce 8 May 1950. I moved to Mesa after my divorce, living there 1 year, and then moving to Chandler. We were very happy there.
I met Jesse Roy Gale and, after 2 years' courtship, we were married in the Arizona Temple. As parents, we taught our children to love each other and to serve the Lord. We have always been active in our ward and serving our fellowmen. Each one of the boys has filled a mission. When it was time for Jesse, Jr to come home from his mission, Jess and I went to Spain to meet him.
Jess loved to travel and the last few years of his life, we did travel to most of the major parts of the world.
Family get-togethers were important to Jess. We got together quite often as a family. On his birthday this year, 4 April 1993, we met here at our home. After eating, each family got to tell one story about their Dad. It was a choice evening. There were 51 of us in that room. Several called the next day to tell me how much they enjoyed it and what a good Dad they had. We will have more like this.
I have had many wonderful spiritual experiences in my life, which I cannot deny. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and pray that my family will also love it. I love the Gale family. You are a choice family. (Valoise Beecroft Gale Family History, submitted by herself)
