Age 72 of Fridley, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 26, due to a car accident. Ted was born 11/3/44 in St. Paul, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, Clemons and Madelyn; brother, Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Donna; children, Theresa McSpadden, Theodore Jr., Timothy; siblings, Tom (Marion), Jim (Phyllis), Victoria (Ed) Szalapski; sister-in-law, Holly Beecroft; many grandchildren; nieces, nephews & cousins. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 AM with visitation one hour prior at the Church of St. William, 6120 5th St. NE, Fridley. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery, Mendota Heights. • He died on 27 May 2017. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Fridley man is dead and his wife is injured after their pickup truck rolled over on a Sherburne County road Friday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Theodore John Beecroft, 72, was driving a Dodge Dakota westbound on Highway 10 in Big Lake when he swerved into the median.

The truck fishtailed back on the highway before swerving back to the median, causing the truck to roll.

Beecroft was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 67-year-old Donna Rae Beecroft, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The state patrol is investigating.

Donna Rae Beecroft, 76, of Fridley, Minnesota, passed away on October 5, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born in Washington, Iowa, to Lyle and Sadie V Wilson. She earned her BA from Northeastern Missouri State University and worked as an elementary school teacher, at Target Corporation, and as a Weight Watchers coach. She volunteered as director of family homeless programs at St. William's Catholic Church and co-president of the North Suburban New Neighbor Club. Warm-hearted, social and determined, with a wonderful sense of humor, Donna enjoyed cooking, gardening, travel, and reading. She married Ted Beecroft in 1984 in Minneapolis.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Beverly Wilson Walker and Carol Wilson; and husband Ted Beecroft. She is survived by siblings R. Dean Wilson and Nancy Nollen; special friend Brian Hamilton; nieces and nephews Julie McLoud, Kim (Mark) Wykoff, Marsha (Ken) Eklund, Barbara Meyer, Jennifer Young, Tim Nollen, and Christine Nollen; cousin Donald Schnell; in-laws Linda Wilson and Stanley Nollen; and numerous, beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
