Santa Fe, Aug, 10 - Two young Santa Fe men scorned fancy fishing tackle of luck but chose the wrong fishing hole. They were caught fishing in a pond of the Pecos hatchery.

Ralph Emerson Beecroft, 21, and Raymond Roibal, 18, paid a total of $119 each in fines. A 14-year-old boy with them was turned over to the Santa Fe juvenile officer.

Officers who arrested the trio at a road-block after they tried to flee found 24 fish in their car. They were using only a string with a hook on the end and worms for bait, officials said.
