• His obituary was published. Gene Waggoner, 73, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in Dumas, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with John Green, longtime family friend officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Gene Waggoner was born October 4, 1935 in Wilbarger County, Texas to H.L. and Lola Waggoner. On January 20, 1962 he married Margie B. Waggoner at El Paso, Texas. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2002. He was the airport manager for Moore County before his retirement. He had also worked for Troy Potter Trucking as a dispatcher. Gene loved car races and taking the family to Red River. He had been a Dumas resident since 1963 and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include; daughters, LeeAnn Hokanson and husband, Roy of Dumas, Rhonda Dyer and husband, Dr. Keith Dyer of Canyon; brother Bill Waggoner and wife, Melody of Rose Hill, KS; uncle, Loy Lee and wife, Barbara of Sanger, TX; grandchildren, Shawn, Andrew and Crystal Hokanson, Christopher, Aubrey, Gayle, Rachael, Maisie, Kelly and Luke Dyer.

Memorial may be made to your favorite charity.
