• Her obituary was published in The Tribune (Seymour, IN) on 25 Jan 1999. Helen Alderson, 88, Austin, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999 at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg. Mrs. Alderson was a housewife and a member of Scottsburg Apostolic Church. Born June 15, 1910 in Brooksburg, she was a daughter of Flavorus Young and Laura Young. She married Pete Alderson, and he survives. Other survivors include a son Charles Becraft, Austin; a daughter Ruth Ison, Austin; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Sutter, Brownstown. The Rev. David Sanders will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin, with burial in Spurgeon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
