On Tuesday, May 21, John Peter Beecroft was found dead at his home in Lake City, Florida. John, known by his family and friends as Jack, was starting the second phase of his life by opening a Food Truck business at his new Florida home. John, an excellent chef, was a graduate of the CIA, Culinary Institute of America, in 1977 and was an Executive Chef. He owned Jack's Seafood Restaurant from 1991 to 1998. John worked as a professional Chef until he retired in 2022.
John was loved by family and friends for both his quick wit and his kind spirit, he will be missed more than he would ever believe. John was dedicated to helping Rescue Dogs, immediately adopting one as soon as he moved to Florida. John was a lifetime member of Harley Owners Group HOG. He loved motorcycles (owning his first Honda mini bike at the age of 7), NASCAR and music
John was born and raised in Point Pleasant, NJ and always loved the "old" Point Pleasant. He moved to Brick, NJ after he was married and lived there until his move to Lake City, FL.
John is survived by his wife, Eileen Greenberg Beecroft, his sons, Jonathan Arthur and James Thomas and his child, Sam J. of Brick, NJ. He is also survived by his loving sister, Bonnie Beecroft Feit, his brother-in-law Fred Feit and his nephew, Philip Thomas Feit of White Plains, NY. John was predeceased by his father, Thomas Arthur Beecroft, his mother, Betty Joy Beecroft and his three brothers, Thomas John Beecroft, James Arthur Beecroft, and Peter Howard Beecroft.
Services will be held at St. Mary's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 804 Bay Avenue, Point Pleasant, NJ at a time to be determined.
