Bert lived at home on the farm and helped. After 1954, when his father John died, Bert stayed and helped his mother. Bert was a member of the Prince of Wales, No. 171 A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge, Iona Station. Bert also worked as an orderly for many years at Westminster Veteran's Hospital in London. In 1966, he and his mother Violet Beecroft, sold the farm and moved to an apartment on Elmwood Ave. in south London. They later moved to the Jamestown Apartments on Huron Street. Bert never married nor had children. notes kwb
