SYDNEY WEDDING

BECROFT\emdash DREGHORN

Decorated with fragrant November lilies by the girl friends of the bride, the Fuller ton Memorial Church, Crown-street, Sydney, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on, Saturday evening, 30th November, when Jean Lachlan Dreghorn became Mrs. John Essington Becroft.

White lace and marquisette fashioned the gown worn by the bride, with a true -lover's knot of blue on the bouffant skirt. Her cut tulle veil fell from a bandeau of pearls and orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of magnolias: Miss Gladys Storck attended as brides maid, wearing a hydrangea blue gown, cut on classical lines. She added a topknot of flowers and stiffened net to match the sheaf of pink gladioli she carried. Little (Tean, Grant, the bride's niece, filled the role of flower girl, wearing an ankle length frock of pink organza, a trail of small flowers en1 circling her head, and she carried- a basket of pink carnations and delphiniums. The bride, who is the youngest daughter of the late Mr. R. Dreghorn, of Queens land, and Mrs. Dreghorn, of Nelson-street, Wollahra, was given away by her brother in-law, Mr. W. Grant, who, with -Mrs. Grant, flew from Kingaroy, Queensland, for the wedding. 'The bridegroom is the only son of the late Mr. Alfred Essington Becroft, of Wilberforce, and Mrs. J. Hurley, of Wolesley-road, Point Piper. He was attended by Mr. A. McKellar, as best man. During the signing of the register Miss Muriel Poynter sang 'Because.' The Rev. George Cowie officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Cahill's, where the bride's mother was assisted by Mrs. Grant and Mrs. Hurley in receiving the guests. The bride's travelling dress was a dusty pink ensemble, with hat to tone. Mr. and Mrs. Becroft will make their home at Bellevue Hill.
