Miss Beacroft, of Llandilo, has received word from her brother, Sergeant Ernest Beacroft, who left with a contingent in November last, that he has been wounded twice in action at the Dardanelles. On the first occasion he was slightly wounded, but on the second he was injured in four places, on the right shoulder, the left side of the neck, and the right leg. He is now in hospital at Cairo.• Event: The Sydney Morning Herald, 23 Jul 1915. SERGEANT E. H. BEACROFT.
Sergt. Ernest Beacroft of the A.M.P. has been wounded a second time. He resided at Penrith, where he was employed by the Railway Department, and was 26 years of age. His parents also live at Penrith.
